Ski mountaineering in Špindlerův Mlýn

We ask all ski mountaineering enthusiasts to respect and adhere to the rules listed below.


Rules for ski mountaineering in the Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort

1. Climbing and descending here is at your own risk.

2. In good snow conditions, use off-piste routes for ascent.

3. When climbing the slope, use the edge of the slope. Always walk behind each other, not next to each other. Watch out for traffic on the slope! 

4. For ski mountaineering, only the Horní Mísečky – Vodovodní cesta (19) slope is permitted; it is prohibited on all other slopes.

5. Pay special attention to the tops of climbs, places under terrain edges and breaks, narrow places, steep slopes and when crossing downhill tracks across. Do not cross the slope in unclear sections.

6. Be very careful when working with snowmobiles on the slope. If you encounter snowmobiles on the slope, leave the slope immediately. When working with a snowmobile on a winch, the anchoring point of the snowmobile/winch is marked with a flashing beacon. The anchoring rope is usually not visible. Risk of death!

7. Before dawn or after dusk, wear headlights, reflective elements on your clothing are suitable.

8. On freshly groomed slopes, ride along the edge of the slope in a strip the width of one snowmobile strip (6 m), so that all traces of the evening visit of ski mountaineers can be erased with one pass of the snowmobile.

9. From 4:30 p.m., entry to the slopes is strictly prohibited!

10. Be considerate! Do not destroy the groomed slopes. Skiers enjoy enjoying the morning's pristine slopes.
