SKIAREAL Spindleruv Mlyn
Špindlerův Mlýn is one of the most famous recreation centres in the Czech Republic. It´s an excellent spot for active relaxation, sport and entertainment, not only in winter, but all year round. Its hiking trails through the Giant Mountains are a popular destination of thousands of visitors every year.
The Pláň chair lift trail (1,196 metres above sea level) is an ideal starting point for hiking the hills – it is also the starting point for hikes to Luční Bouda and Sněžka – and the chair lift at Medvědín (1,235 metres above sea level) which is the starting point for hiking to the source of the headwaters of the Elbe River. Mountain biking enthusiansts will also love it, as a new Špindl bike park is waiting for them on Svatý Petr; the park offers three downhill trails from racing to scenic, the latter of which is 7 km long and is suitable for families with children. These trails start next to the upper station of the
Pláň chair lift.
Špindlerův Mlýn also offers a range of other activities including a bobsled run, rope park, brigding – crossing a 125m long valley on a rope - giant swings, tennis courts, a climbing wall and cross-country scooters. As well, there is an aqua park, several indoor swimming pools and wellness centres. You can finish off your sporting and relaxation day in a number of restaurants and cosy little pubs, offering various culinary experiences.
